Jason Furtado

I am currently studying Art and Design and Graphics at St Michael’s and All Angels. I have been working with Karen Whiteread on a Digital Media Arts project since last September.

We have learnt studio photography techniques and used various computer software on Mac Computers to interpret Old Masters in a contemporary style. We went back to traditional styles and techniques of the old masters to create oil paintings with a contemporary twist. Inspired by Banksy and The Dark Night (Batman Movie).

The project has expanded my experience of using digital photography and techniques in my art projects. I now feel a lot more confident about using new software.

In the future I want to study Car Design and become a car designer for Ferrari.
